Blink 182 is still a band…with Matt Skiba. AND new music

Travis Barker spilled the beans……….or the info……….or the music. As in new music from Blink 182, with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio, in an interview with NME, revealing that they've recorded 5 new songs so far. "Matt's killing it," Barker said. "He's fun to play with and write with. We're just getting started, but I think we've got like four or five songs right now that I'm really, really happy with.

The drummer, who is currently promoting his memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death & Drums, Drums, Drums, did not specify when the new music would be released, but did assure that they are working towards an album. "The goal here is to come up with an album and just write. We don't put a limit on how many songs we're gonna write. [We just] write a bunch of songs, and when we feel like there's an album ready, there's an album ready. You know, no pressure, no deadlines."

Appears Matt is now a full time member of Blink 182………question mark??? Or at least helping with new music, album, tour, etc. All remains to be seen at some point. I like Blink, I like Alkaline Trio. Hopefully this leads to some cool. Video below of the band live when they debuted with Matt earlier this year.
