It's National Beer Day!

I'm about to drop some history on you… and provide an additional example as to why FDR was one progressive and effective President.

On April 7, 1933, the Cullen-Harrison Act was enacted (signed by FDR) and allowed for the legal sale of low-alcohol beer in the US, several months before Prohibition was completely repealed.

Showing a solid sense of humor, FDR upon signing the legislation said, “I think this would be a good time for a beer,” noting the end to the nation’s 13-year-long dry spell.

Benjamin Franklin was a solid supporter of a good beer too, as evidenced by the quote above.  There's a reason he's on the $100 bill yet wasn't a President (ok so there are several reasons but this is a good one).

So to honor today's holiday and give you a shot to win tickets to WWE Smackdown Live, I want to know your favorite beer and your favorite place to enjoy it.  Weigh in on social media or at 559-228-1041.

Happy Friday!
