I was lucky enough to see this tour in San Luis Obispo at the Fremont Theatre and it truly was an amazing show. Big band, small venue, and songs being reimagined. Cage doing ‘Rubber Ball’ below with strings and a choir. This video is from their hometown show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Still one of my favorite Cage songs too.

Unpeeled, the new Cage the Elephant acoustic album drops this Friday, compiles recordings from various stripped-down shows on the band’s recent “Live & Unpeeled” U.S. tour – including concerts in L.A., Washington, D.C., and Knoxville, Tennessee. The album features 21 tracks: 18 reworked versions from their previous four LPs and three covers (the Stranglers’ “Golden Brown,” “Daft Punk’s “Instant Crush” and Wreckless Eric’s “Whole Wide World”).
