Midday Darkness and People are Losing Their S*!#

The country is losing its mind over the chance to see a total solar eclipse today, with the Path of Totality running right through the US. The last time this happened was in 1918. I flirted with the idea of taking off today in order to drive to OR to see it but it didn't work out. Probably for the best because I can't be trusted to NOT look at the sun. I distintcly remember a partial eclipse of some sort back when I was a kid, knowing I shouldn't look at it, I did anyway and feared for the next several hours that I'd go blind. At 34, I still think I'd do the same damn thing.

So whether you're going to venture outside or play it safe indoors and stream the event via NASA, here is everything you need to know about this truly out-of-this-world experience (ha! get it?!).
