Blind Bets Recap: College Football Sadness.

Week 1 of the College Football season is now officially in the books a lot of fun and fails were had, and like most books, this is a book you could skip reading. After a sensational 4-4 parlay win, we went into this weekend with our heads high, only for them to RKO us from outta nowhere. To say we fell from grace is a bit of an understatement, none the less, You can’t brag about your highs without also sharing your lows. This Labor Day weekend was filled with dominant performances and crushing defeats. Lady Luck might not have been on our side this week, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t ready for NFL week 1!

Blind Bets college football recap is here:

Ohio State (2) vs Notre Dame (5): Our pick, OSU Spread -17. Final Score: 21-10. L. Recap: I’ve called Notre Dame frauds on multiple occasions, and they seemed to have taken that to heart. Leading for the majority of the game, it took a heroic 4th quarter comeback from Ohio State to get the win, but the effort wasn’t enough to save the spread.

Georgia (3) vs Oregon (11): Our Pick, Georgia ML: Final Score: 49-3. W. Recap: This one was over the second the game started. The defending national champs start their campaign by plucking the ducks without any issue whatsoever.

Cincinnati (23) vs Arkansas (19): Our Pick: Cin +6.5 Spread: Final Score: 24-17. Painful L. Recap: This one was a rough one. This was the game I was most conflicted with, as I felt Cincinnati was a better team but Arkansas had the classic brother bump. I went against the brother bump and got burned for it by half a point.

Serena Williams To Win US Open. Odds: +1200. Result: L. Recap: Sad but it was a long shot. After upsetting the 2 seed of the tournament I don’t think there was a single American who didn’t truly believe she wasn’t going to win the US Open. Sadly her run ended Friday after a hard-fought three-set match to Ajla Tomljanovic. Congrats on an all-time career Serena.

Weekend record: 1-3.

Overall Record: 5-3, still a positive record but not without getting humbled. Poor weekend aside, Don’t think we won’t bounce back for NFL Week 1!
