As you may recall, two weeks ago I went backpacking for the first time. This past year specifically, I’ve tried to push my comfort zone, challenging my preconceived notions about myself and life in general. Already I’ve had so many amazing experiences along the way… many tied to travel (Death Valley, Iceland, now this) and simple things like meeting new people, trying new activities and allowing myself on video (I do radio for a reason and that is I HATE myself on video). I’m lucky enough to have some really amazing friends who are talented beyond measure. For instance, Josh, who not only made sure that I didn’t get eaten by a bear but also gave me a pretty awesome souvenir of my first trip into the backcountry.
