A Fresno man won $69k on Wheel of Fortune this week… Two years after his wife won $50k on the same show. He wasn't the obvious winner from the beginning either. He totally creeped up on his opponents and took them out by the final round. He happens to be a pastor so it's not clear if it's divine intervention or really good luck mixed with solid puzzle skills.
The game shows I've enjoyed have included Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and of course, Price is Right… which I suck at all of them. Given a chance to play any game show, I think I'd go with the old school Press Your Luck game only because I'd want to say "no whammies!" In writing this blog, I found out there was a big scandal on that game as well that involved a smart con man memorizing patterns and winning a modern equivalent of $254k in just one day.
